Marta Bastianelli, who is the defending champion, the day before the tricolour event comments: “I’m here to try to defend the title, but I’m aware to face this Italian Championship not in the best physical conditions, but as always I will try to do the best. I would be sorry to leave this jersey because I couldn’t enjoy it 100% this year due to different vicissitudes. Yesterday we tried the race route, it will certainly be a demanding Italian Championship. I’m taking part with my Fiamme Azzurre sports group and we will try in every way to bring home a good result that is always a pleasure”. (Photo Flaviano Ossola)
