After success at Omloop Het Nieuwsblad this weekend, the women’s team are in action again this week, starting with Le Samyn des Dames on Wednesday. The race sees Claudia Häusler (GER) start her first race for the team and Saturday’s winner Amy Pieters (NED) is also present. Coach, Ruud Verhagen (NED) said: “We have had a great start to the season and we will obviously be looking to continue on this good run of form but it is becoming harder and harder as the other teams are now looking at us to do a lot of the work. “It will be a difficult race to control and we will have to react to the breakaways and look to be aggressive. If we get into the right breaks we can go for another podium.”

RACE PREVIEW: Omloop het Hageland (1.2)
The women’s team are in action again on Sunday at Omloop van het Hageland in Belgium. The race is another good opportunity to keep building towards the bigger spring classics and Kirsten Wild (NED) and Lucy Garner (GBR) return to the team here after not racing Le Samyn during the week. Coach Ruud Verhagen (NED) said: “Much like Le Samyn on Wednesday, this will be another hard race to control, especially with all the other teams now watching us a lot more. “The weather could play a role in the outcome of the race as well so we will be ready to race from the front as usual and to stay alert.”
