Ale’ Cipollini Galassia – Ad un soffio dal secondo podio stagionale: Shelley Olds chiude 4°. Barbara Guarischi miglior azzurra

“Siamo state bravissime a rimanere con le più forti. Abbiamo fatto un gran lavoro, abbiamo corso come sappiamo fare e come piace a me”: Luisiana Pegoraro, Direttore Sportivo della Alé – Cipollini – Galassia, è molto soddisfatta della prestazione delle proprie ragazze, protagoniste della terza tappa del Tour of Qatar, tanto che il rammarico per il secondo podio stagionale sfumato di un soffio, ovviamente c’è, ma resta in secondo piano: “Sicuramente dispiace non salire sul podio, anche perchè sarebbe stato il coronamento di tutta la fatica fatta oggi, ma ho visto le ragazze in forma e molto determinate: abbiamo tutte le carte giuste per puntare alla vittoria. Abbiamo dimostrato di essere in grado di rimanere c on le più forti: siamo state sempre davanti, con le più grandi. Peccato per la volata che non è andata come speravamo, ma non posso che fare i complimenti alle ragazze”. Le #yellowfluo, in effetti, sono state davvero tra le protagoniste della terza frazione del Tour of Qatar, 93.5 km dal Katara Cultural Village ad Al Khor Corniche. Le cicliste restano compatte sino al km 38, poi la velocità cresce ed il gruppo si sfalda. Tanti i tentativi di fuga; quello che riesce scatta quando restano ancora da percorrere 25km: sono 14 le atlete che si staccano, tra loro due #yellowfluo, Barbara Guarischi e Shelley Olds. É proprio quest’ultima, anche oggi, a lanciare lo sprint finale, probabilmente con un po’ troppo anticipo. Kirsten Wild si conferma davvero terribile su queste strade e coglie il suo settimo successo tra la sabbia del Qatar. Purtroppo oggi la Olds non riesce a conquistare il podio: chiude al 4° posto. Tiene ottimamente anche Barbara Guarischi che taglia il traguardo in 6° posizione; a nche oggi, così come nella prima frazione, è lei la migliore delle italiane. Domani l’ultima tappa, Sealine Beach Resort – Doha Corniche, 85km: le #yellowfluo proveranno a prendersi il podio sfumato oggi.

English Version – LADIES TOUR OF QATAR: #YELLOWFLUO PROTAGONISTS OF THE THIRD STAGE

Alé – Cipollini – Galassia near the second podium of the season: Shelley Olds ends the stage in 4th position. Barbara Guarischi is 6° and once again she is the best among the Italian cyclists. “A very good race, we have been always among the strongest cyclists. We have shown to be able to stay with the strongest cyclists: we were always at the head of the group, I want to congratulate the girls”. The #yellowfluo are really among the protagonists of the third stage of Tour of Qatar, Katara Cultural Village – Al Khor Corniche 93.5 km. The cyclists are compact up to 38 km, then the speed increases and the pack brokes up into several groups. When there are still 25km to go: 14 the athletes that come off, among them there are two #yellowfluo, Barbara Guarischi and Shelley Olds. She launches the final sprint, probably a little too early. Kirsten Wild is really terrible on these roads and takes her seventh success among the sand of Qatar. Unfortunately, today Olds fails to conquer the podium: she ends in 4th position. Barbara Guarischi crosses the finish line in 6th place, even today, as in the first stage, she is the best among the Italian cyclists. Tomorrow the last stage of the race, Sealine Beach Resort – Doha Corniche, 85km: the #yellowfluo will try to conquer the podium.
